Stupid question. Are slot-head and classical tuners interchangible-holes, placing, size? |

Bob, do you mean steel string slot-head tuners and classical tuners? If that's what you meant, they are not the same. The classical tuners have a much larger post to wrap the nylon string around. It is not suitable for steel strings. Hope this helps. |

Having said that, most classical tuners and slot head steel string tuners have the same distance between holes on center so with a single jig, with a drill bushing, you can drill/route for both type guitars. See Stew-Mac and LMII for details. |
